We are seeking a Senior Firmware Architect with deep cross-stack expertise to lead firmware architecture for next-generation server platforms. This individual will drive key architectural decisions, resolve complex system-level firmware trade-offs early in the design lifecycle, and ensure solutions are scalable, high-performing, secure, and maintainable over the long term.

As a senior technical leader, you will influence the architecture and direction of firmware across modern compute platforms. You'll collaborate closely with hardware, software, systems, and product engineering teams to deliver robust platform management solutions while shaping technical strategy and engineering best practices.
Responsibilities
- Define and evolve firmware architecture across multiple hardware and software platforms.
- Drive architectural decisions for embedded firmware and platform management software.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend adoption strategies aligned with long-term product roadmaps.
- Review system designs to ensure scalability, reliability, maintainability, security, and performance.
- Resolve complex cross-functional technical challenges spanning firmware, hardware, and systems engineering.
- Establish engineering standards, development methodologies, and architectural best practices.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to senior and junior engineering teams.
- Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to influence product direction and technology strategy.
- Champion modern software engineering practices, including automation, test-driven development, and AI-assisted development workflows.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in firmware, embedded software, or systems architecture.
- Proven experience designing firmware architectures for enterprise server, embedded, or infrastructure platforms.
- Deep knowledge of Redfish standards and platform management interfaces.
- Strong experience with OpenBMC and the Yocto development environment.
- Strong understanding of software architecture, system design, and firmware development best practices.
- Experience integrating software across multiple hardware platforms and operating environments.
- Expertise in debugging, validation methodologies, automated testing, and system-level troubleshooting.
- Strong analytical, communication, and technical leadership skills.
Preferred Technical Experience
- Experience scaling firmware across multiple management controllers or embedded processors.
- Experience implementing secure software development lifecycle (Secure SDLC) practices.
- Demonstrated success with test-driven development and continuous integration.
- Experience incorporating AI tools into software development, testing, or validation workflows.
- Track record of delivering innovative firmware or embedded software solutions in complex hardware environments.
