Job summary

gpac is seeking an experienced Fire Sprinkler Designer in Oklahoma City, OK to join a growing fire protection team. You will design systems for commercial, industrial, and multifamily projects, producing accurate layouts and detailed drawings.

The ideal candidate has at least 5 years of design experience, strong knowledge of NFPA codes, and proficiency with AutoCAD, HydraCAD, AutoSPRINK, or similar software. You will collaborate with project teams to deliver code-compliant designs on schedule.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years designing fire sprinkler systems for commercial construction.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, HydraCAD, AutoSPRINK or equivalent.
• Thorough knowledge of NFPA 13 and related codes.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop fire sprinkler systems for commercial, industrial, and residential projects.
• Prepare detailed shop drawings and layouts using AutoCAD, HydraCAD, AutoSPRINK or similar tools.
• Perform hydraulic calculations to meet NFPA standards and project requirements.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, and contractors on layouts.
• Design wet, dry, preact ion and other fire suppression systems as needed.
• Ensure designs comply with NFPA 13, NFPA 14, NFPA 20 and local codes.
• Provide technical support to field teams and resolve design issues.
• Manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
