Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC in Bastrop, Texas, seeks an experienced Lead EHS Engineer for Fire Safety & Emergency Response to lead the dedicated team and advance the company’s safety programs. You will develop and implement engineering controls, oversee audits, risk assessments, and ITM for life-safety systems.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years in EHS with fire safety focus, plus 3+ years of leadership.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree.
5+ years of experience in environmental, health, and safety programs with emphasis on fire safety engineering and emergency response.
3+ years leadership experience managing technical/engineering teams.
Professional certifications such as CFPS, CSP, CEM, PE (Fire Protection) or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage the day-to-day activities, priorities, and performance of the EHS Fire Safety & Emergency Response Engineering team.
Oversee operational budgets for Fire Safety & Emergency Response programs.
Develop engineering-based solutions that improve workplace fire safety and emergency response capabilities.
Review and interpret fire safety regulations and provide technical guidance to management and teams.
Provide training and coaching on risk assessments, ITM procedures, PHAs/HAZOPs, and EHS controls.
Lead cross-functional reviews to drive EHS performance across disciplines.
