Job summary

Fluor Corporation is recruiting for a Lead Engineer role in the United States. The position oversees project areas, provides technical direction, and ensures accuracy in project execution across all phases.

You will lead on assigned projects, mentor less experienced engineers, and contribute to competitive, high-value technical solutions. Required are a four-year engineering degree and extensive work experience; professional registration is preferred.

Qualifications

• Accredited four (4) year degree in engineering or global equivalent, 16+ years of related experience.
• Professional certification or registration in the field if required; local requirements may apply.
• Ability to communicate effectively with management, coworkers, clients, and contractors.
• Knowledge of local, state/provincial, and federal/national statutes and guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Develop and review estimates and schedules, progress reports, and forecasts.
• Track material quantities; provide analysis and forecasts.
• Develop and review specifications and design criteria.
• Participate in procurement, permitting, and subcontracting activities.
• Perform complex calculations and specify equipment; solve engineering problems.
• Lead and mentor other engineers, conduct performance appraisal input.
