Job summary

LG Energy Solution Michigan Inc. (LGESMI) seeks a senior Emergency Management leader to oversee the Disaster Prevention Center, Fire Brigade, and EMS programs.

You will provide technical support for fire protection systems, incident command, and regulatory compliance across the site. You will mentor a safety team, develop KPIs, manage budgets, and collaborate with local authorities to enhance site-wide safety and emergency readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety or related field required; MS or MBA preferred.
• Incident Command System (FEMA IC S-100/ICS-200 or equivalent)
• National Incident Management System (FEMA IS-700 or equivalent)
• State of Michigan Licensed – MFR/EMR or Basic EMT
• Must obtain FEMA IS-5.A, IS-100.C, IS-120.C, IS-200.C, IS-230.E, IS-235.C, IS-240.C, IS-241.C, IS-700.B within one year
• Must pass a firefighter physical

Responsibilities

• Oversee the Disaster Prevention Center, Fire Brigade, and Medical 1st Responder programs.
• Develop and track KPIs for safety teams and manage the budget.
• Provide coaching and career development for direct reports.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental laws across the site.
• Lead incident command during emergencies and coordinate with external agencies.
• Develop emergency response policies and procedures aligned with DHS rules.
• Collaborate with government officials for pre-plans and drills.
• Maintain hazardous materials response training and audits.
