Job summary

Henderson Engineers is seeking a Senior Fire Engineer in the Nashville area to lead complex building-fire protection design efforts. You will coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams, mentor engineers and support project delivery across markets including healthcare, higher education and commercial sectors.

The role emphasizes innovation, sustainability and client experience as part of our ESOP-owned culture, with opportunities to influence design standards and project outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a closely related field.
• PE license required or able to obtain licensure.
• Experience leading complex building-system projects.

Responsibilities

• Directs and oversees design documents, layouts, drawings and specifications.
• Leads projects from concept through completion with cross-disciplinary teams.
• Mentors junior designers and engineers, providing technical guidance.
• Ensures drawings and analyses meet scope, schedule, cost and quality.
• Supports business development and maintains client relationships.
• Visits job sites to verify conditions and progress.
