Role Description The Senior Fire Control System Engineer will provide expert engineering support for fire control systems, focusing on design, integration, testing, and sustainment of advanced weapon and sensor systems. This full-time, on-site role at Redstone Arsenal, AL involves leading system requirements development, conducting system and sub-system analyses, and supporting hardware and software integration activities with cross-functional teams. Day-to-day tasks include developing and reviewing technical documentation, performing modeling and simulation to validate system performance, and supporting verification, validation, and configuration management processes. The engineer will collaborate closely with program managers, software engineers, logistics personnel, and Government stakeholders to troubleshoot complex system issues, support risk and failure analysis, and ensure compliance with security, safety, and quality standards. The role also includes mentoring junior engineers, contributing to proposal and planning activities, and supporting real-time mission and test events as required.
