Job summary

M.C. Dean is seeking an experienced Fire Alarm Technician 3 to support on-site commissioning and project execution for fire detection and alarm systems.

You will mentor junior technicians, perform complex troubleshooting, and ensure NFPA 72 compliance across systems such as Notifier and Siemens. Based in Virginia, the role requires US citizenship eligibility for security clearance and offers a competitive hourly wage with strong benefits and opportunities to contribute to critical infrastructure

Qualifications

• HS Diploma/GED with 8+ years in Fire Alarm or 2-year technology degree with 6+ years of relevant experience.
• Overtime may be required as directed by supervisor.
• Must pass background check and random drug screening.
• NICET Fire Alarm Systems I & II or higher certification in 90 days of employment.
• Preferred: NICET III certification.

Responsibilities

• Performs commissioning activities for fire detection and alarm projects.
• Plan and perform testing and inspection per NFPA and local codes.
• Program and troubleshoot Notifier and Siemens FA systems.
• Complete ROC, Test Forms, and related documents.
• Provide training to apprentices and crewmembers.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable codes and standards.
