Job summary

RapidFire Safety & Security is seeking an experienced Fire Alarm Installation Technician for our Austin branch. You will provide on-site service, installation, inspection, and repair of fire alarm equipment, ensuring high-quality customer support and safety compliance.

Responsibilities include testing and programming fire alarm systems, coordinating with construction teams, and staying updated on current NFPA 72 standards and technologies.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Fire Alarm Technician or similar role.
• Extensive knowledge of fire alarm systems including Silent Knight and Fire-Lite.
• Proficiency with NFPA 72 and related safety regulations.
• Strong skills in low voltage electrical wiring and hands-on installation.

Responsibilities

• Install, program, and troubleshoot fire alarm systems per NFPA 72.
• Test and inspect systems for safety and compliance.
• Perform routine maintenance, testing, cleaning, and repairs.
• Coordinate with construction teams to integrate alarms into buildings.
• Provide technical support and training to teammates on alarm systems.
• Respond to service calls promptly and resolve issues professionally.
• Stay current with the latest fire alarm technologies and regulations.
