Job summary

EY is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for Financial Services Technology Consulting in New York. You will help design, develop and modernize risk platforms across Insurance Risk, Credit Risk and Capital Markets technology.

You will translate complex regulatory and actuarial requirements into robust technical solutions, deliver cloud-native services, and collaborate with onshore/offshore teams to ensure production readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or higher degree in computer science or related field.
• 5+ years of software engineering experience in risk, finance, insurance or analytics domains preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Java and concurrent programming.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to design, development and modernization of Insurance and Credit Risk platforms.
• Translate business, regulatory, actuarial and analytical requirements into technical designs.
• Develop front-to-back Capital Markets modernization across trading, risk, and settlements.
• Implement capabilities for VaR, stress testing, XVA, P&L attribution and counterparty risk.
• Build data pipelines and services for risk engines, data lakes and systems.
• Deliver high-quality software through design, testing, code reviews and documentation.
