Job summary

Humana is seeking a Senior Financial Reporting Professional to prepare, analyze, and distribute periodic financial statements and management reports for internal and external stakeholders. The role emphasizes interpreting results, researching variances, reconciling accounts, and turning complex data into clear insights.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or related field.
• 5+ years of progressive health, finance, accounting, or technical insurance experience.
• Advanced Excel skills with pivot tables, complex formulas and functions, lookups, data validation, data modeling, and analysis of large data sets.
• Strong SQL experience, including writing and modifying queries, troubleshooting data discrepancies, and extracting data for financial reporting and analysis.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Experience facilitating and leading meetings with senior leadership.
• Experience with data visualization tools or automation to improve reporting accuracy and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, analyze, and distribute financial statements and management reports for internal and external stakeholders.
• Consolidate accounts, prepare consolidation journal entries, and eliminate intercompany transactions.
• Use advanced Excel and SQL to organize, validate, reconcile, and analyze large data sets.
• Identify trends, exceptions, and provide clear, actionable insights for decision making.
• Manage multiple recurring and ad hoc priorities, maintain documentation, and track deadlines.
