Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
• Minimum five years of progressively responsible post-college accounting experience.
• Strong MS Excel skills and detail orientation.

Responsibilities

• Reconcile and analyze financial information for entries to general ledger accounts.
• Examine and analyze financial information for completeness and accuracy; project trends.
• Perform statistical analysis to identify trends, estimates, and changes in financial statements.
• Identify accounting problems, research solutions, and present conclusions to management.
• Monitor compliance with GAAP and company procedures; correct errors in entries and reports.
• Prepare monthly department reports and assist with department-wide projects.
• Review premium tax deposits, annual returns, and other assessments for CSO and subsidiaries.
• Review work of Accountants to ensure integrity of financial data.
• Collaborate with other departments to resolve issues and improve data flow.
• Perform additional duties and assist in audits as needed.
