Job summary

Virtusa is seeking an experienced financial administrator to lead and optimize financial processes across project delivery in Chicago. The role focuses on SOW management, PO processing, and capital project governance, ensuring alignment with budgets and policies.

The candidate will drive journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and SAP-based reporting, providing actionable insights for management and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Experience in Financial Documentation & Administration
• Proficiency with SAP data extraction, analysis and reporting
• Experience with Journal Entries (JE), accruals and reconciliations

Responsibilities

• Lead, prepare, review, and administer Statements of Work (SOWs) aligned with project objectives and budget constraints.
• Oversee end-to-end Purchase Order (PO) processing, vendor setups and banking information resolution in compliance with procurement policies.
• Lead RCE submissions across PSMAD, manage executive summary reviews and engage with project owners and BTS Admins.
• Maintain project status and compliance updates in Clarity/Smartsheet for active Capital projects.
• Facilitate depreciation requests, capital project closures, and vendor contract change requests.
• Take charge of monthly JE calculations and processing for APS, ensuring robust financial stewardship.
• Oversee accrual management and reconciliation across multiple PSMAD cost centers; validate Cognizant Master PO accruals.
• Conduct regular reconciliations, identify discrepancies in invoicing and payment, and collaborate with finance teams to resolve issues.
• Aggregate and report monthly accruals information for management review.
• Use SAP to extract, analyze, and report financial data for ongoing projects; monitor KPIs and visualize performance.
