Job summary

Farther is seeking a Senior Financial Planner to support our advisors and elevate client experiences through detailed planning and analysis. You will develop complex plans and leverage technology to deliver sophisticated recommendations for a diverse client base in a fast-growing wealth platform.

You will collaborate with a dynamic team, manage multiple projects, and stay current with planning software. This role offers growth within a startup environment and competitive benefits.

Qualifications

  • 7–10 years of experience delivering financial plans to clients
  • Experience with mass affluent to UHNW client bases
  • Proficient in major planning software (RightCapital, eMoney, MoneyGuidePro)
  • Strong knowledge of equity compensation and tax strategies
  • Excellent written and verbal communication

Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver comprehensive financial plans for mass affluent to UHNW clients.
  • Run monte-carlo analyses for cash flow, retirement scenarios and risk.
  • Create and maintain client planning documentation and reports.
  • Support advisors by gathering and analyzing relevant financial data for meetings.
  • Identify opportunities to improve planning processes using our tech platform.
  • Stay current with financial planning software and technology platforms.
  • Maintain detailed records of client interactions and planning decisions.
  • Promote the planning team within the advisor community with regular meetings.

The Role

As a Senior Financial Planner on the Financial Planning team, you will play a crucial role in supporting our financial advisors and enhancing the client experience through detailed financial planning support and analysis. You'll work at the intersection of client service and technical financial planning, helping to create and maintain comprehensive financial plans while supporting our advisors in delivering exceptional wealth management services. This position offers an opportunity to grow within the industry while contributing to the evolution of modern wealth management.

Your Impact
  • Develop, deliver and maintain comprehensive and complex financial plans to mass affluent, High Net Worth and Ultra High Net worth clients on behalf of senior advisors.
  • Prepare detailed goals-based monte-carlo analyses to complete cash flow projections, retirement scenarios, and risk assessments
  • Create and maintain client financial planning documentation and reports in a systematic way
  • Support advisors in preparing for client meetings by gathering and analyzing relevant financial data
  • Identify opportunities to improve financial planning processes and client experience and develop solutions utilizing our technology platform.
  • Stay current with financial planning software and technology platforms
  • Maintain detailed records of client interactions and planning decisions
  • Continuously build awareness of the planning team within the advisor community, holding regular meetings with new advisors
The Ideal Match
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or related field
  • 7-10 years of experience in financial services delivering financial plans to end-clients
  • Familiarity with financial planning software such as Right Capital, eMoney or MoneyGuidePro
  • Deep knowledge of equity compensation, advanced tax strategies and coordination of complex Social Security and Medicare strategies
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines
  • Team player mentality with a client-first approach
Bonus Points
  • Experience developing technology to assist with financial planning
  • Series 65 license or ability to obtain within 90 days
