Job summary

The Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago's Financial Markets Group seeks a Senior Financial Markets Specialist to develop data-driven analysis and advise on policy issues affecting financial markets and stability.

You will work with policy advisors, engage with industry stakeholders, and contribute to reports and presentations while managing complex datasets in R and Python to support monetary policy objectives. This is a high-impact, collaborative role serving the public interest.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in finance, economics, business, or public policy or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years of experience in industry, regulation, or academia.
• Deep knowledge of domestic/global financial markets and market infrastructures.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Directly contribute to research and communicate findings to the public through reports and presentations.
• Support internal policy analysis to advance Bank objectives related to monetary policy and financial stability.
• Assist leadership with written analysis and presentations for senior policymakers.
• Develop relationships with financial industry leaders and stakeholders to advance Bank objectives.
• Foster a collaborative, high-performing team environment.
