Job summary

Vantage Risk Ltd. is seeking a Senior Financial Data Analyst to support data analysis for insurance systems development, including EDW and GL data governance. You will partner with Finance during close, validate data, investigate variances, and help finalize reporting outcomes.

The role manages a backlog of development requests, collaborates with developers, and ensures timely releases. Strong SQL, data warehousing, and P&C knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent professional experience.
• 5-7 years in data analysis, business analysis, or financial systems support in P&C insurance.
• Experience with data warehouses, general ledger systems, and financial close processes.
• Strong knowledge of Property and Casualty Insurance data and lifecycle.
• Experience with auditing and SOX compliance.
• Basic SQL skills and ability to read ETL code.
• Exposure to cloud data architectures and Agile methods.

Responsibilities

• Supports the VP of Insurance Enterprise Data to develop new or enhanced systems/technologies.
• Provides deep technical and business analysis to enable data-driven decisions.
• Creates source-to-target mappings with input from business representatives.
• Owns user and technical story writing and maintains a groomed backlog.
• Ensures business sign-off and timely production releases with development teams.
• Completes business analysis activities to aid the development team.
• Supports QA efforts through vendors, SI partners, and internal teams.
• Designs test cases and scenarios with QA engineers.
