Job summary

AllianceBernstein LP in Nashville is seeking a seasoned business data analyst to join our Investment Infrastructure Research Data team. You will help consolidate data architectures, onboard datasets, and collaborate on policy and tooling for rapid onboarding and ModelOps.

You will write data pipeline specs, map external data to internal models, and oversee testing and deployment. The role requires strong SQL/Python, data modeling skills, and the ability to work with senior quantitative analysts

Qualifications

• Degree in Finance/ Economics, Operations Management, or CS/Engineering; Master’s preferred.
• 5+ years as a business data analyst in enterprise data integration within finance.
• Experience with market data vendors such as Bloomberg, Refinitiv QADirect, MSCI, BarraOne.
• 2+ years writing SQL queries and Python to support data analysis.
• Strong PM, analytical, and quantitative skills.
• Data modeling and mapping; identify data types and relationships.
• Knowledge of financial instruments and market data.
• Willing to own projects end-to-end: analysis, design, tests, deployment.
• Good communication with senior analysts and business partners.
• Desire to document and share work for long-term support.
• Curiosity in quantitative research and investment.

Responsibilities

• Manage onboarding of new research datasets.
• Collaborate with market data team on data trial and license agreements.
• Write data pipeline specifications, map data to internal model, develop tests, review results, oversee projects.
• Write data quality rule specifications, configure metadata, collaborate with Research Data Oversight.
• Author data writeups in the data catalog and configure related metadata.
• Manage permissions around licensed data sets.
• Continuously improve data management and oversight with operations to document incidents and mitigate outages.
