Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related business field required.
• Minimum of three years of related work experience.
• Or High School Diploma/GED and five years of related work experience.
• Microsoft Office spreadsheet application required, and PeopleSoft General Ledger proficiency preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review internal control submissions and perform control testing to ensure compliance.
• Maintain the control structure by updating process flow documentation and implementing new processes.
• Perform routine testing to ensure compliance with balance sheet reconciliation procedures.
• Develop and execute IT General Controls (ITGC) testing plans over the IT environment.
• Collaborate with program managers to establish control environments meeting Uniform Guidance standards.
• Support external auditors during financial and statutory audits.
• Engage in ad hoc projects including integrations and audits outside current controls.
• Participate in developing automations to assist Finance and other departments.
• Identify and implement process improvements across finance for optimization.
• Foster relationships with finance and accounting teams; support rotational staff.
