Job summary

Bloomberg Finance is seeking an experienced Finance professional to join our Workplace Operations Finance team. You will leverage extensive data sources to provide solutions to urgent business questions, deliver financial/operational insight, and build tools for long-term needs.

You will partner with stakeholders across the organization to drive clear, executive-ready analysis and recommendations for a fast-paced tech-enabled financial services business.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in financial analysis.
• BA/BS in Finance or related field.
• Advanced financial modeling and data visualization skills.
• Advanced Excel, VBA including macros and automation skills.
• Demonstrated experience driving finance transformation within mature corporate environments.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support development and prioritization of key finance transformation activities in order to track performance of business plans and strategic initiatives.
• Develop and maintenance of KPIs and business metrics.
• Draft quarterly financial updates, annual operating plans and other business planning presentations.
• Manage FP&A requirements in adherence to corporate requirements and processes.
• Oversee resource management, resource allocations, and resource related reporting and analysis.
• Support the development of members of the finance team.

What's the role?

We are seeking an experienced Finance professional to join our Workplace Operations Finance team. The CFO team provides critical financial advisory to the Workplace Operations, Real Estate and Supply Chain teams in support of the business. We are seeking a strong candidate with advanced financial modeling, proven business partner experience and the ability to deliver clear, executive-ready analysis / recommendations to senior leadership

You'll need to have:

• 6+ years of experience in financial analysis
• A BA/BS in Finance or related field
• Advanced financial modeling and data visualization skills
• Advanced excel, visual Basic for applications (VBA) including macros as well desktop and process automation skills
• Demonstrated experience driving finance transformation within mature corporate environments
• Ability to assess current FP&A maturity model, understand drivers, make recommendations and implement appropriate solutions to mitigate risks
• Ability to identify problems, understand the root cause, make recommendations and drive to a solution
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence outcomes of issues and projects
• Experience carrying out complex work with autonomy and make decisions within scope of responsibilities
• Team player who can work across multiple departments and levels within the company

We'll love to see:

• Degree in a quantitative subject: Finance, Economics, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics
• Experience in financial services or a financial data provider industry a strong plus
• Flexibility to work in an entrepreneurial and fast-moving environment
• Familiarity with the Bloomberg terminal is useful but not required.
• Experience with Enterprise software applications (i.e. SAP) and data visualization applications (i.e. Tableau or Qlik)
