Job summary

Colgate-Palmolive Company is seeking a Senior Finance Analyst to drive cost accounting, inventory management, and fixed asset governance for our Greenwood, SC and Sanford, ME facilities.

You will lead SAP-based costing, month-end close, variance analysis, and internal controls under SOX, partnering with manufacturing and commercial teams to improve profitability and pricing decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
• 5+ years in Cost Accounting, Plant Finance, or General Ledger in manufacturing/CPG.
• Proficient in SAP and Advanced Excel (pivots, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP).
• Knowledge of standard costing, variance analysis, and fixed asset accounting.

Responsibilities

• Execute new product costing, annual CO budget planning, and cost revisions; analyze actual vs budget variances.
• Lead month-end CO closing, allocate overheads, and manage inventory reserves including SLOB analysis.
• Oversee fixed asset lifecycle, capitalization, retirements, and depreciation forecasting.
• Perform internal control assessments and ensure SOX-compliant documentation.
• Utilize SAP and data analytics to resolve cost center discrepancies and prepare monthly costing reports.
• Serve as lead financial partner for Sanford, ME manufacturing facility.

As a Senior Finance Analyst , you’ll sit at the heart of our Finance organization, serving as a key operational engine for Cost Accounting, Inventory Management, and Fixed Asset governance for our Greenwood, South Carolina and Sanford, Maine facilities.

By mastering product cost structures, evaluating capital investments, and optimizing month-end processes in SAP, your insights will directly influence product pricing, expense management, and bottom-line growth for world-class Colgate-Palmolive brands.

What You’ll Do

• Execute new product costing, annual CO budget planning, and periodic cost revisions while analyzing actual vs. budget cost variances to optimize plant performance.
• Lead technical month-end CO closing activities, calculate and allocate overhead costs across processing stages, and manage inventory reserves (including SLOB analysis).
• Oversee the end-to-end fixed asset lifecycle—managing asset capitalization, retirements, and ledger reconciliations while forecasting depreciation for capital budgets.
• Perform regular internal control assessments, maintain audit-ready documentation, and mitigate financial risk in compliance with global SOX standards.
• Leverage advanced SAP tools and large-scale data analytics to resolve cost center discrepancies, prepare monthly executive costing reports, and support cross-functional stakeholders.
• Serve as the lead financial partner for our Sanford, Maine manufacturing facility.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in Cost Accounting, Plant Finance, or General Ledger operations within manufacturing, CPG, or industrial environments.
• Demonstrated proficiency in SAP and Advanced Excel (pivots, VLOOKUPs/XLOOKUPs, data modeling).
• Practical understanding of standard costing, variance analysis, and fixed asset accounting principles.
• Must be willing to travel to Sanford, Maine a minimum of twice per year for business reviews.

Preferred Qualifications

• 1+ years of deep experience across SAP FI/CO/PA/MM modules.
• Direct experience executing month-end closings and maintaining SOX compliance frameworks.
• Experience analyzing large datasets using Google Workspace (Google Sheets, Drive) and modern data visualization tools.
• Proven ability to partner effectively with cross-functional supply chain, manufacturing, and commercial teams.

Compensation and Benefits

Salary Range $94,000.00 - $137,000.00 USD

Pay is determined based on experience, qualifications, and location. Salaried employees may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, profit-sharing, and long-term incentives for Executive-level roles.

Additional benefits include a minimum of 15 vacation/PTO days (hourly employees receive a minimum of 120 hours) and 13 paid holidays (vacation days are prorated based on the employee's hire date within the calendar year).
