SNH Strategic Partners is the Puerto Rico-based sister company of SNH Capital Partners, a private investment firm whose platform spans a management company, investment funds, portfolio companies, and family office entities. Our finance team supports every part of that structure, so the work is varied from one month to the next.
The Opportunity
We're hiring a Senior Financial Analyst to lead reporting and analytics across the platform: consolidated firm and fund reporting, management dashboards, budgeting, and forecasting. You'll report to the Director of Finance, work closely with the Group CFO, and prepare the numbers leadership and investors use to make decisions.
It's a good fit for someone who takes responsibility for their work, is eager to learn, and enjoys a hard analytical problem. You'll have several deliverables going at once across entities and reporting cycles, and you'll be trusted to see each one through, from pulling the data to explaining what it means.
What You'll Do
- Prepare the monthly and quarterly reporting packages for the management company, funds, and portfolio companies
- Maintain and improve our management dashboards, including plan-versus-actual variance analysis and commentary by department and account group
- Review and consolidate portfolio company reporting, mapping different charts of accounts to a common format
- Work with operating management on bottom-up annual budgets and multi-year plans, by entity and consolidated, using driver-based revenue, expense, and headcount models; update forecasts as the year unfolds
- Support fund accounting and investor reporting (capital accounts, distributions, performance metrics) and reconcile distributions and cash against bank records and ownership schedules
- Pull together tax data packages for our external tax advisors and review them before they go out
- Help the accounting team during busy periods and when someone is out
What You'll Bring
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, economics, or a related field
- 5+ years of progressive finance experience in FP&A, financial reporting, or a similar role
- Hands-on experience running consolidated management reporting across multiple legal entities, including intercompany eliminations and dashboards
- A track record of building bottom-up budgets and multi-year financial plans
- Comfort getting up to speed on businesses in different industries and putting their P&Ls and balance sheets on a common basis
- Working knowledge of fund accounting, including partnership allocations, capital accounts, and distributions
- Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills, with experience analyzing large datasets
- Clear, concise written and spoken English, with the ability to write reporting commentary for U.S.-based leadership and investors
- Strong organization and follow-through, even when several deadlines land in the same week
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in private equity, fund administration, or a family office
- CPA or CFA designation, or progress toward either
- Proficiency in SQL, Power Query, or other data and ETL tools
- Familiarity with the monthly close process
- Exposure to partnership and pass-through entity taxation or multi-jurisdiction tax concepts, and experience working with external tax advisors
- Professional fluency in Spanish
Why Join Us
