Heelstone Renewable Energy is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to support renewable energy and corporate finance activities, including M&A, underwriting, debt and tax equity structuring, and revenue contract origination. The role collaborates with developers, financing partners, and banks and is based in Durham, NC on a hybrid schedule.

The ideal candidate has strong financial modeling skills, Excel proficiency, and a background in renewable finance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in finance, economics, statistics or similar discipline.
• 2-3 years of work experience in banking or a similar industry a plus.
• Advanced Excel skills required.
• Background in renewable finance, investment banking, private equity or leveraged finance.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain financial models using complex capital structures for underwriting and transactions.
• Assist in screening, structuring, and pricing acquisitions and project bids.
• Prepare analyses for investment committee approvals.
• Support raising and structuring debt, equity and tax equity for utility-scale solar projects.
• Support origination of revenue contracts and related analysis to inform pricing and structuring.
• Assist in structuring and pricing project divestitures.
• Assist in due diligence of greenfield development opportunities.
• Understand historical data sets through publicly available energy pricing to form forward views on pricing and market dynamics.
• Assist with market research, analytics, and financial modeling.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
