Job summary

Thrive Market in Playa Vista, CA seeks a proactive Senior Financial Analyst to support operations—fulfillment, supply chain, and logistics. You will own financial reporting, build models, forecast costs, and provide insights to drive cost efficiency.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years in FP&A or related field, a finance degree, advanced Excel, and experience with SQL or BI tools. This full-time role requires occasional travel to our LA HQ.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in FP&A, strategic finance, investment banking, consulting, or a related analytical field.
• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
• Experience in e-commerce, retail, or CPG is a plus.
• Advanced Excel skills and comfort with complex financial modeling.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to manipulate and interpret large data sets.
• Experience with SQL or BI tools (Domo, Tableau) strongly preferred.
• Experience with ERP/planning/forecasting/reporting tools (NetSuite, Adaptive) strongly preferred.
• Excellent communication skills and cross-functional collaboration.
• Highly organized with attention to detail and multi-priority management.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting and variance analyses for operations leadership.
• Build and maintain financial models for forecasting operational costs (fulfillment, labor, freight, warehousing).
• Analyze KPIs such as throughput, cost per unit, labor efficiency, inventory turns, and days of supply.
• Partner cross-functionally with Operations and Supply Chain to provide cost-driver insights at aggregate and facility/SKU levels.
• Model financial impact of process changes and capex/opex tradeoffs; track initiative performance.
• Contribute to strategic projects aimed at cost optimization and operational efficiency.

THE ROLE

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Senior Financial Analyst to support our operations organization: fulfillment, supply chain, and logistics. This role owns financial reporting and analysis for operational cost structures and plays a key role in forecasting, planning, and strategic decision support. You'll help drive the annual planning process, monthly business reviews, and cross-functional initiatives by building financial models, analyzing operational KPIs, and providing insight into cost and efficiency drivers.

• Model the financial impact of process changes and capex/opex tradeoffs, and lead ongoing tracking of initiative performance
• Contribute to strategic projects aimed at cost optimization and operational efficiency

QUALIFICATIONS

JOB INFORMATION

• Compensation Description - The base salary range for this position is $100,000 - $120,000/Per Year.
• Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on several factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and geographic location.
• Total Compensation includes Base Salary, Stock Options, Health & Wellness Benefits, Flexible PTO, and more!
• This position requires traveling to our HQ office in Los Angeles, California, twice a year for all-company summits; once in the summer and once in the winter.
