THE OPPORTUNITY
Alliance Technical Group (“ATG”) is a Blackstone-backed environmental compliance, testing, and monitoring platform operating 60+ locations across North America — and building the finance organization to match its growth ambitions. This is a hands‑on seat for someone who wants to build real financial modeling and analytical range inside a fast‑moving, private equity‑backed platform, working directly alongside the Director of FP&A with exposure to business unit leaders and the broader finance organization. The Senior Financial Analyst will be a core builder of the numbers that drive decisions at ATG — supporting the budget, the rolling forecast, the M&A integration model, and the monthly reporting package to leadership. You will partner closely with the Director of FP&A to bring rigor to the planning process — zero‑based budgeting, rolling forecasts, variance‑to‑plan analysis — and build the technical depth and business judgment that set up a fast path to the next level of FP&A leadership.
What You Will Own
- The Budget Build. Support the enterprise‑wide annual operating plan process, working with business unit finance leads to compile, test, and consolidate a bottoms‑up plan that holds up under scrutiny.
- The Forecast. Maintain and update the rolling revenue and EBITDA forecast, translating monthly actuals and operating data into a forward view the Director of FP&A and CFO can rely on.
- Variance Analysis. Analyze monthly results against budget and forecast, identifying and explaining drivers of variance and flagging risks and opportunities before they become surprises.
- M&A Support. Support acquisition modeling and the integration of newly closed deals into ATG’s financial reporting and forecast, tracking actual performance against the deal thesis.
- Business Unit Reporting. Build and maintain the monthly performance packages and flash reporting distributed to business unit and executive leadership.
- Systems & Process. Help build and maintain the models, reporting templates, and management operating rhythm — including NetSuite Planning & Budgeting — that scale with the platform through its next phase of growth.
- Ad Hoc Analysis. Respond to analytical requests from the Director of FP&A and CFO with speed and precision, from board deck support to one‑off deep dives.
What Success Looks Like In Year One
- A forecast and budget process you can run with minimal oversight, trusted for its accuracy and timeliness.
- Variance analysis sharp and timely enough that it shapes the monthly conversation with business unit leaders.
- A track record of clean, reliable support on at least one acquisition integration from close through reporting.
- A reputation as the analyst the CFO can hand a hard problem to and trust the output.
What We Are Looking For
- 2-4 years of progressive experience in financial planning & analysis, public accounting, or a related finance function.
- CPA preferred.
- Big 4 public accounting experience strongly preferred.
- Strong financial modeling and analytical skills, with the attention to detail to get the numbers right the first time.
- Advanced Excel fluency; NetSuite and NetSuite Planning & Budgeting experience is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics.
- A collaborative, high-ownership mindset and the communication skills to work directly with business unit and executive leadership.
WHY ATG

You will work directly with the FP&A team, gain exposure to the CFO and business unit leadership, and build the technical and business skills that set up a fast path to the next level of FP&A leadership.
