Job summary

Amazon Web Services Finance is seeking an analytically driven finance professional to partner with AWS management, drive financial planning, and deliver actionable insights. You will model, forecast, and report metrics that influence budgeting and business decisions across fast-growing cloud services.

The role requires 3+ years in finance-related analytics, experience with cross-functional initiatives, and a Bachelor's in a related field. Eligible for RSUs and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience.
  • 3+ years of dissecting financial data and identifying patterns that support business strategy experience
  • 3+ years of contributing to cross-functional initiatives that drive financial performance and strategy experience
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science), or Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of quantitative role (engineering, process re-engineering, quality assurance) experience

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the key business partner working directly with AWS management and other internal stakeholders to provide financial recommendations
  • Report weekly and monthly financial and operating metrics
  • Manage the financial planning and month end close processes. Model, analyze and forecast metrics that drive budgeting, forecasting and business decisions
  • Perform detailed NPV analysis in support of Strategic Initiatives and goals taken by finance and business teams. Support financial analysis for ad-hoc projects and as needed.
  • Analyze business results for key takeaways to achieve business objectives
  • Monitor compliance with controls and systems, and developing new processes to support the fast-growing AWS business
  • Preparing detailed financial models for business segments, drive business initiatives, and identify, implement, and deliver key operational efficiencies

We provide end‑to‑end financial support driving AWS to be the low cost provider in Cloud computing and leader in customer experience. This includes supporting business owners in building, operating and innovating our Cloud datacenters.

We support operations, safety, security, business development, and engineering. You should be passionate about producing financial analysis enabling management to make breakthrough decisions, drive cash flow, and ultimately delight our customers.

Key job responsibilities

  • Interact with financial systems such as Cognos TM1
Basic Qualifications
  • 3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
