Job summary

Grainger, a leading MRO distributor, is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to support finance programs and drive bottom-line growth. This hybrid role requires 50% in-office time at Lake Forest, IL headquarters or Chicago Merchandise Mart.

You will develop complex models, partner with functional teams, and present insights to senior leadership. A finance degree and 3+ years of experience are required, with strong data skills and advanced Excel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, business or equivalent.
• 3+ years of experience in financial analysis or related roles.
• Experience working with high volumes of data.
• Advanced Excel skills with complex functions.

Responsibilities

• Make improvements by automating, refining, and implementing tools and deliverables within Finance and supporting departments.
• Develop complex modeling solutions and analysis for strategic programs.
• Guide partners to ensure sound financial decisions; oversee P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow metrics.
• Dive deep to understand upstream and downstream effects of decisions.
• Use a controllership mindset to create clear financial analysis of the business health.
• Assess risks and opportunities; provide recommendations to senior management.
