Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide month-end support under tight deadlines and assist with year-end accounting closing activities.
- Backup accounts receivable, accounts payable, and invoicing functions.
- Ensure financial statements are accurately prepared before closing the accounting period, perform general ledger reconciliations and account analysis.
- Perform sales revenue analysis by state as needed by the tax department.
- Assist with the integrity of the closing process for Oracle and JDE systems.
- Prepare journal entries in accordance with GAAP and company policy; support forecasting and budgeting activities.
- Generate and analyze reports on P&L and balance sheet, tracking against forecasts.
- Provide analytical support for business decisions, including product margin analysis, working capital assessment, and risk/opportunity analysis.
- Support financial forecasting, annual planning, and reporting activities.
- Complete company self-assessment testing for compliance.
- Assist with analysis and reporting from corporate productivity trackers.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting from an accredited institution.
- At least 5 years of experience in finance or accounting.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States; verification required. No visa sponsorship available.
Ideal Candidate:
- Manufacturing experience is mandatory.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance; other degrees are not considered.
- Strong Excel skills; Hyperion experience with macros preferred.
- Availability for early morning start (around 6 AM).
- Experience with compliance reporting, internal audits, JD Edwards, and Oracle systems.
- Potential for management position in the future; currently no direct reports.
