J.Jill, Inc. is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join our Boston-based team supporting distribution center, sourcing, and corporate overhead forecasting.

You will partner with department leaders to build budgets, forecasts, and robust financial insights that guide strategic decisions across stores and operations. Ideal candidates have 3–5 years in financial planning, strong Excel modeling skills, and a collaborative, proactive mindset to turn data into actionable recommendations for

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA/CPA a plus.
• 3–5 years of experience in financial planning, modeling, and reporting.
• Experience with GL systems and financial statement analytics is a plus.
• Strong analytical skills to synthesize data and identify trends.

Responsabilidades

• Support the development and preparation of the annual budget and monthly forecasts by partnering with department leaders to monitor operating expenses, review expense trends, analyze actual vs forecast variances, and identify risks and opportunities.
• Work directly with Accounting to ensure proper expense coding, accruals, reclasses, and timely month-end close activities.
• Maintain and enhance financial models used for expense planning.
• Communicate results to business leaders through effective and efficient summaries and presentations.
• Support ad hoc financial analysis, process improvements, and reporting automation to strengthen FP&A expense management capabilities.

Overview

The Senior Financial Analyst performs various financial activities including forecasting, modeling, budgeting, and reporting for the Finance organization. Owns complex processes and contributes positively to the team environment. Works independently and proactively creates views and insights based on business results and performance to leadership. This role will initially focus on Distribution Center, Sourcing, and other corporate overhead expense planning and forecasting.

• Strong analytical skills necessary to synthesize large quantities of data, identify trends and drivers; use results to create insightful analysis

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or related field (MBA and/or CPA a plus)
• 3-5 years of experience
• Experience in financial planning, model building, and reporting; experience with GL systems and exposure to financial statement analytics is a plus

Salary Range

USD $75,900.00/Yr. - USD $102,000.00/Yr.
