The role requires a structured, detail-oriented analyst with strong analytical and communication skills, plus knowledge of Excel, Power BI, and VBA; familiarity with SQL/Python/R is a plus. Collaboration with risk management and audit is essential.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required in a related field.
  • Advanced degree or certification beneficial (MBA, CFA or CPA).
  • 3+ years banking/finance analytics experience preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail with clear summarization skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office; Power BI, Visio, VBA a plus; SQL/Python/R a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Developing and publishing dashboards to monitor Key Risk Indicators, peer comparisons, and other metrics
  • Conducting liquidity stress tests including development of scenarios, assumptions, and back-testing
  • Analyzing drivers of change in liquidity position (cash flow, client trends, etc.)
  • Testing key sources of liquidity included in the Contingency Funding Plan
  • Performing economic and industry research
  • Reviewing proposed regulations to provide impact assessment
  • Partnering with risk management, internal audit, and model validation to ensure processes and procedures are appropriate, executed, and follow Company and regulatory guidelines
  • Assisting other teams in the Corporate Treasury department on ad-hoc projects covering asset/liability management, loan and deposit pricing, and capital planning as needed

Overview

FHN’s Corporate Treasury team is adding an experienced analyst to assist the team in executing and enhancing the bank’s 1st line liquidity risk management function. To operate effectively in this high visibility role the analyst must be structured, detail-oriented, possess superior analytical and communications skills, and have a strong work ethic.

Key Responsibilities

  • 3+ years experience in the banking industry (Finance, Risk, Analytics/Intelligence, or Product team) preferred; experienced professionals with transferable skills would be considered
  • Proficiency in generating high quality work product with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to summarize analysis and research clearly and concisely in verbal and written form
  • Team orientation and excellent interpersonal skills
  • Cognizance to self-identify process gaps and weaknesses
  • Strong organization, time management, and multi-tasking skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word required with Power BI, Visio, and VBA a plus)
  • Experience with database reporting and programming tools such as SQL, Python, R, etc. a plus
