About the Opportunity
Our client, an established medical technology organization with significant operations in Jacksonville, is hiring a Senior Financial Analyst, FP&A, to strengthen financial planning, forecasting, modeling, and business performance analytics.
This is a hands-on FP&A role for a finance professional who enjoys building structured financial models, working directly with ERP and operational data, and improving the processes behind forecasting and management reporting. The analyst will help create more scalable planning tools, reduce manual reporting dependency, and connect operational activity to clear financial insights that support better business decisions.
What You Will Do
- Build and maintain driver-based budgets, rolling forecasts, scenario models, and sensitivity analyses.
- Develop and improve structured financial models designed for repeatability, accuracy, scalability, and ongoing business use.
- Translate operational metrics and business activity into financial assumptions, forecasts, and analytical outputs.
- Extract, clean, organize, validate, and analyze financial and operational data from ERP systems, BI tools, and other structured data sources.
- Improve recurring finance workflows through automation, standardization, and a more scalable model and reporting architecture.
- Perform variance, trend, and business-performance analysis tied to the underlying drivers of revenue, cost, margin, expenses, and other key metrics.
- Identify trends, risks, and opportunities and translate analytical findings into useful business insight.
- Support recurring management reporting, dashboards, financial analysis, and decision-support materials.
- Partner with Accounting and operational stakeholders to validate assumptions, improve data quality, and strengthen account mapping and financial reporting structures.
What You Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Management Information Systems, or a related quantitative field.
- 3 to 6 years of relevant experience in FP&A, corporate finance, finance analytics, or closely comparable operating-finance work.
- Advanced Excel skills with demonstrated hands-on experience building and working with structured financial models.
- Experience building, maintaining, or materially improving recurring budget, forecast, scenario, sensitivity, or other complex financial models.
- Hands-on experience working with ERP data, operational data, structured datasets, or comparable finance-system outputs.
- Experience supporting budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and business-performance reporting.
- Ability to connect operating activity and business drivers to financial results rather than relying solely on historical reporting.
- Demonstrated ability to improve or standardize recurring finance models, reporting processes, or analytical workflows.
- Strong analytical judgment and the ability to communicate financial insights clearly to finance and non-finance stakeholders.
- Current and ongoing U.S. work authorization without employer sponsorship.
- Ability to work on-site in Jacksonville five days per week.
Preferred Background
- SAP or another major ERP platform.
- Power BI, Tableau, or comparable dashboarding and reporting tools.
- SQL, Power Query, Alteryx, or another structured data or query environment.
- Manufacturing, medical technology, product-based, inventory-intensive, distribution, supply chain, or other operational-finance experience.
- Experience with chart-of-accounts structure, account mapping, dimensional reporting, financial hierarchies, or related finance-data improvements.
