Job summary

Oakmont Management Group in Irvine, CA, is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to drive budgeting, forecasting, and reporting for our senior living communities. This on-site role partners with leaders to translate data into actionable insights and to improve operational performance.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of FP&A experience, advanced Excel skills, and familiarity with Anaplan or PowerBI. Strong communication and problem-solving abilities are essential in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of progressive FP&A experience, including corporate and segment FP&A.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Experience with financial systems (Anaplan preferred; PowerBI a plus).
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to analyze data, draw conclusions and make actionable recommendations.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work independently or with teams.

Responsibilities

Senior Financial Analyst - Senior Living

This is a full-time, on-site position based in Irvine.

Senior Living experience is preferred.

The Senior Financial Analyst will be instrumental in budgeting, forecasting, and reporting for our communities. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the financial strategy and operational performance of our organization.

The Senior Financial Analyst, reporting directly to the Director of FP&A, will serve as a dedicated financial business partner. The role requires a highly analytical, collaborative, and results-oriented individual who can translate complex financial data into actionable insights.

Salary range: $90k-$120k

Responsibilities:

Financial Planning and Analysis

• Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis for communities timely and accurately
• Provide expense monitoring and actionable recommendations that support organizational goals
• Design and manage robust financial models and KPI dashboards to monitor and enhance operational performance
• Prepare insightful reports and presentations for senior management and capital partners, enabling data-driven strategy

System Implementation and Process Improvement

• Support the implementation of a financial planning and forecasting tool
• Review transactions for data accuracy while automating and improving reporting processes

Business Partnering and Strategic Support

• Collaborate with Finance, Accounting, and Operations leadership on impactful ad hoc projects that shape company strategy
• Add insight through enhanced reporting and financial analysis with guidance from FP&A management

Qualifications

• Bachelor�s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Real Estate, or related field.
• 3-5 years of progressive FP&A experience, including both corporate and segment FP&A
• Advanced Excel skills
• Expertise in financial systems (Anaplan is preferred); PowerBI is a plus
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to extract, analyze data, draw conclusions, and make actionable recommendations
• Ability to manage and take ownership of priorities and projects, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Proactive problem-solver with continuous improvement mindset
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Adaptable and quick learner, especially with new technologies and processes

Position Requirements

• Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
• Demonstrate ability to build and maintain positive working relationships at all levels across the Company.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; highly motivated and able to work independently or collaboratively depending upon circumstances.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
• Must pass a Criminal Background check.
