Senior Financial Analyst
Location: Los Angeles, CA (Internet Brands)
Internet Brands is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to act as the primary financial leader for a portfolio of our business units.
This isn't your standard variance‑reporting role. We are looking for a strategic partner for our General Managers—someone who can step beyond traditional FP&A to drive the business forward. You will identify revenue opportunities, rationalize costs, and facilitate strategic thinking.
Exceptional analytical and communication skills are a must, along with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects.
What You’ll Do:
- Strategic Business Partnering: Act as the lead financial advisor to BU management. You won't just report the news; you will develop a comprehensive narrative of financial and operational results and present directly to the C‑suite with clear recommendations on risks and opportunities.
- Drive Growth & Efficiency: Spearhead special projects and strategic initiatives. Build the financial models that support key operational initiatives.
- Lead the FP&A Engine: Oversee the integrity of the monthly forecast and annual budget cycles for your portfolio, ensuring accuracy while constantly pushing to simplify and automate reporting.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience: 3‑6+ years of progressive experience in corporate finance, FP&A, strategic finance, or business operations.
- Elite Modeling & Analytics: Highest proficiency in Excel/Sheets. You build scenario and sensitivity models that are bulletproof, yet simple enough to explain to non‑finance leaders.
- Financial Storytelling: You possess the communication skills to turn a messy data set into a crisp, 5‑slide story, and the confidence to defend your recommendations to C‑level executives.
- Autonomous Problem Solver: You have a track record of independently defining problems, structuring solutions, and partnering with operations to force meaningful, positive change.
- Data Fluency: Comfort handling large datasets. SQL, BI tools (Tableau, PowerBI), or advanced data shaping experience is highly preferred.
- Industry Experience: Background in SaaS, online media, or vertical software is a plus.
- Education: BA/BS in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a highly analytical field.
What We Offer:
- Autonomy & Impact: You are the financial leader for your business. Your work will directly influence top‑line and bottom‑line outcomes.
- Real Visibility: Regular interaction with executive leadership, giving you a front‑row seat to how enterprise‑level decisions are made.
- Growth: We’re serious about developing analysts — sharper modeling, better storytelling, and real business ownership.
Benefits Package: We offer a comprehensive benefits package designed to support the health and well‑being of you and your family. Our benefits include health insurance options such as medical, dental, and vision coverage; flexible spending accounts (FSA) for medical and dependent care; short‑term and long‑term disability insurance; and life and AD&D insurance. We also provide a 401(k) retirement savings plan with a company match, paid time off (PTO), paid holidays, commuter benefits, and access to our Employee Assistance Program (EAP) and well‑being coaching services. In addition, employees can take advantage of voluntary benefits such as home, auto and pet insurance, and discounted legal and financial services.
Internet Brands is an equal opportunity employer, and we welcome applicants from all backgrounds. We comply with all applicable laws and regulations, including the City of Los Angeles Fair Chance Initiative for Hiring Ordinance (FCIHO).
