The Oregon Department of Human Services is seeking a Senior Financial Accountant to apply advanced accounting theory to support complex agency operations and ensure the integrity of financial systems. You will lead accounting functions, reporting, leadership, and project management within a hybrid environment.

The role requires senior-level expertise in accounting standards, payroll tax interpretation, data analysis, and collaboration with program leaders to support sound financial decisions.

Qualifications

• CPA or CGFM plus 3 years accounting experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting with 32 quarter credit hours and 3 years related accounting experience
• 32 quarter credit hours and 5 years related accounting experience including complex data analysis
• Graduate-level accounting credits may substitute for one year of experience

Responsabilités

• Maintain accounting controls and timely financial reports.
• Resolve complex accounting issues and system corrections.
• Update financial management systems to meet agency needs and standards.
• Lead projects to design and improve accounting systems and reports.
• Provide training and mentor staff on accounting practices.
