Alamo Group Inc. is seeking a Sr. Financial Accountant at its Corporate Headquarters in New Braunfels, TX.

This role focuses on fixed asset and lease accounting, month-end close, and accurate GAAP financial reporting across multiple facilities and currencies. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree (CPA preferred) with 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, strong knowledge of GAAP, and expertise in ERP systems such as JD Edwards or SAP.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in accounting, finance, economics, or related field.
• CPA certification required or in progress.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
• Experience with fixed asset and lease accounting.
• Experience with JD Edwards or SAP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Fixed Asset Management: manage and reconcile fixed asset records, depreciation, transfers, disposals; support month/year-end close; assist audits.
• Lease Management: administer lease portfolio under ASC-842; ensure accurate recording and reporting of lease transactions.
• Financial Reporting: prepare monthly, quarterly, annual financial statements; assist consolidated statements; analyze data for trends; convert foreign subsidiary financials to USD.
• General Ledger Management: maintain reconciliations; prepare journal entries for close; handle multi-currency reconciliations.
• Audit and Compliance: coordinate audits, prepare schedules, ensure compliance with regulations; stay current on accounting standards.
• Process Improvement: identify and implement process improvements; participate in new system implementations.
• Cross-Department Collaboration: support business initiatives; mentor junior staff; perform additional duties.
