Kamehameha Schools is seeking a Senior Financial Accountant to join our Controller Division Team in investment accounting and reporting. As part of the Kamehameha Schools Finance Group, this position collaborates with teams responsible for financial assets, real estate, and treasury. The ideal candidate is passionate about these areas and brings initiative, strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. This is a Hybrid position which provides work from home flexibility on an approval basis.
Responsible for accounting and analysis to meet the reporting requirements of the organization, focusing on investment accounting and GAAP accounting. Responsible for maintaining the integrity of the Endowment accounting and reporting systems necessary to ensure accurate and consistent financial information. Works with financial assets, commercial real estate, and treasury teams.
Frequently sits, perform desk-based computer tasks and grasp light or fine manipulation, talk or hear. Occasionally stand and/or walk, write by hand, and lift and/or carry, push and/or pull objects that weigh up to 10 pounds. Rarely twist, bend, stoop, squat, kneel, crawl, climb, reach or work above shoulder, or grasp forcefully.
This position may involve traveling to various locations, including neighbor islands to conduct business. Work is conducted in an office/school environment and may require work to be conducted in non-standard workplaces. Work is typically conducted Monday through Friday at normal business hours but evening and weekend hours are often required to meet goals and objectives.
