Job summary

Abbott is a global healthcare leader seeking a Senior Finance Manager to join the Cardiac Rhythm Management (CRM) team onsite in Austin, TX. This role drives margin initiatives, supports US Commercial Services budgeting for LBEs, and partners with business leaders to deliver actionable financial insights.

You will build models, prepare executive-ready presentations, and lead a team of financial analysts to ensure timely, accurate forecasting and reporting.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or related field.
  • 8–10 years of full-time finance and/or accounting experience.
  • Proven history of critical thinking and problem solving, providing insights and delivering tangible results
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to communicate complex topics to a broad audience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with advanced Excel skills
  • Ability to learn system software and databases quickly (SAP, Essbase, PowerBI)

Abbott CRM is seeking a highly motivated Senior Finance Manager to join our dynamic team based onsite in Austin, TX. This role will play an integral part in the financial planning, analysis and reporting processes for Abbott’s CRM organization. You will have the opportunity to partner with the business and drive results through the evaluation and implementation of strategic margin initiatives and programs. You will also be the key finance support of the US Commercial Services team, managing the functional budget and forecasting for LBEs (Latest Best Estimates).

WHAT YOU’LL DO
  • Act as the key Finance leader driving continuous margin improvement, including execution of high impact initiatives and tracking and reporting of progress to Division leadership
  • Collaborate and influence across site and function leadership and staff to assign goals, develop project funnels, support execution, and manage/mitigate risks
  • Review and approve projects in the margin improvement program, ensuring accuracy and reliability of financial impacts reported to Division leadership
  • Ensure project analyses are presented with a complete and reliable assessment of financial impact (cash flow impact and P&L impact)
  • Support business case creation, DCF/ROI (Discounted Cash Flow/ Return on Investment) analyses, RCE (Request for Capital Expenditures) preparation and approval and contract negotiations as needed to drive projects forward
  • Prepare and distribute financial reports and packages by gathering and analyzing information related to current performance.
  • Provide commentary on variances against various benchmarks.
  • Scope includes Income Statement and Balance Sheet
  • Develop detailed OMC and SG&A forecasts incorporating historic, trended, and current business information.
  • Ensure complete, accurate and timely submissions for quarterly forecasting cycles i.e. LBE
  • Build financial models to deep dive into complex business problems.
  • Provide financial analysis to Sr. Management and other internal users in order to aid with the process of making business decisions.
  • Prepare executive-ready presentations with concise messaging.
  • Translate data into meaningful visuals / charts appropriate for the audience
  • Perform ad-hoc projects and analysis as needed by the business
  • Manage and develop financial analyst reporting to you
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU’LL BRING
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or related field.

The base pay for this position is $129,300.00 – $258,700.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
