Job summary

Redwood Trust, Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to support the Corporate Finance Technology organization.

You will design and implement integrations between vendor financial platforms and enterprise systems, build automated workflows, and deliver cloud-based data processing solutions in Azure. The role emphasizes Python development, REST API integrations, ETL and data quality, and collaboration with Accounting, Treasury, FP&A, and Capital Markets teams to meet financial reporting

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.
  • 5+ years of software engineering or financial technology experience.
  • Experience developing integrations using REST APIs, web services, and messaging technologies.
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure services
  • Experience with ETL, data transformation, and data quality processes.
  • Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile development practices.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain integrations between vendor financial platforms and enterprise systems.
  • Build automated workflows to streamline financial operations, reconciliations, and reporting.
  • Develop Python applications and services for data processing, validation, and automation.
  • Design and implement REST API integrations between financial systems.
  • Collaborate with Accounting, Treasury, FP&A, Capital Markets, and Finance teams to understand business requirements and deliver technology solutions.
  • Support implementation and upgrades of vendor financial applications.
  • Monitor production integrations and resolve data quality and processing issues.
  • Improve operational efficiency through automation and process optimization.
  • Participate in system testing, release management, and production support.
  • Document integration architecture, data flows, and technical solutions.
