Job summary

New York Racing Association is seeking a Sr. Associate Manager, Finance in Elmont, NY. The role owns the enterprise P&L and cash forecast, partners with business leaders, and helps quantify revenue opportunities and cost-cutting initiatives.

You will support FP&A and accounting with monthly/quarterly reports and external updates. The position requires a Bachelor’s in a finance-related field, 6–8 years of experience, and racing knowledge.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or economics preferred.
• 6–8 years of accounting/finance experience preferred.
• Thoroughbred horse-racing knowledge is highly preferred.
• General understanding of finance and FP&A fundamentals.
• Proficiency in MS Office; SAP and payroll/benefits software a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own and manage the enterprise P&L and cash forecast; prepare month/quarter end materials for exec team and board.
• Develop the annual operating budget and multi-year P&L and cash budgets.
• Assist in quarterly financial reporting and external updates.
• Manage P&L views in multiple formats (track, daily, event).
• Support purse cushion forecast for the racing department.
• Analyze wagering data and prepare daily handle reports.
