Job summary

Ambu A/S seeks a Senior Finance Controller to lead financial operations at the Noblesville, Indiana manufacturing site. You will partner with plant leadership to optimize costs, manage inventory, and drive budgeting and forecasting processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive financial or accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience in plant finance, manufacturing finance, financial controlling, or cost accounting preferred.
• Strong knowledge of inventory control, manufacturing cost accounting, variance analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and month-end reporting.
• Experience analyzing material usage, labor variances, labor efficiency, and labor utilization.
• Experience supporting internal and external audits and financial controls.
• Strong analytical, leadership, communication, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Provide financial leadership and business partnership to plant leadership, including analysis of financial and operational performance and recommendations for improvement.
• Oversee product cost and manufacturing financial performance, including material usage, scrap, direct labor, and other direct costs.
• Lead analysis and reporting of Material Usage Variances (MUV), labor variances, labor efficiency, and labor utilization, identifying trends, root causes, and opportunities for improvement.
• Oversee inventory control for USNV and Ambu Inc., including inventory accuracy, variances, valuation, reconciliations, and tooling inventory.
• Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting processes, including product cost, indirect costs, and CapEx, and provide guidance to department leaders.
• Provide month-end financial support, including financial reporting, reconciliations, variance analysis, and communication of results to plant leadership.
• Identify and implement process improvements that strengthen financial controls, improve efficiency, and enhance plant financial performance.
• Provide financial training, coaching, and support to engineers, managers, directors, and other business leaders to improve financial understanding and decision-making.
• Ensure financial activities and decisions align with company policies, objectives, and overall Ambu goals.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Objective:

The Senior Finance Controller provides financial leadership and oversight for the Noblesville, Indiana manufacturing operation, ensuring accurate financial reporting, strong financial controls, and effective management of plant financial performance.
