The candidate should have a bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, 3+ years in finance, and strong Excel and modeling skills. MBA/CPA/CMA preferred, and experience in pharma is a plus.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Accounting or Finance.
  • MBA, CPA, CMA, or other financial certifications preferred.
  • At least 3 years of finance or related business experience.
  • Experience in the pharmaceutical/medical device industries and public accounting preferred.
  • Strong analytical, communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work in a team; leadership capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with CDT and PMT to align financial targets and analyze investments.
  • Manage monthly forecasting and closing cycles; support Business Plan and Long Range Planning.
  • Develop pipeline valuation models with cross-functional teams; collaborate with Commercial and Tax.
  • Support Portfolio Reviews and ad-hoc valuation for stakeholders across R&D, Operations, and Marketing.
  • Collaborate with Business Development on External Innovation and M&A projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Proactively partner with Compound Development Teams (CDT) and Project Management Teams (PMT) to align financial targets, analyze the value of project investments, and address business issues
  • Manage all aspects of financial updates including Business Plan and Long Range Financial Plan and ensure the accuracy and compliance of monthly forecasting and closing cycles
  • Pipeline valuation models for their compounds, which includes partnering with CDT/PMT, Commercial, Global Strategic Marketing, Operations and Tax
  • Support of Portfolio Reviews and ad-hoc valuation support to key stakeholders across the Pharmaceutical R&D, Operations and Strategic Marketing organization
  • Partner with Business Development in support of External Innovation and L&A/M&A projects

The ability to challenge business assumptions, develop alternative scenarios and educate business partners on financial issues and concepts will be required. The candidate must demonstrate strong financial leadership by providing recommendations for improving the value of the financial information supplied to upper management, providing guidance to business partners, and executing the process for all development forecast and worldwide valuation updates for his/her compounds.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree is required, preferably with a major in Accounting or Finance.
  • MBA, CPA, CMA, or other financial certifications is preferred.
  • A minimum of three (3) years finance or related business experience is required.
  • Experience in the pharmaceutical, medical device industries as well as public accounting is preferred.
  • Must possess excellent analytical (MS Excel), conceptual, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to think creatively and work in a team environment is required.
  • The ability to effectively take on leadership roles in various functions is required.
  • The ability to navigate through ambiguity is required.
  • Must work well in a fast-paced environment and be able to recommend and implement process improvements, work independently, and handle several tasks simultaneously.

This position can be located in Spring House, PA, Raritan, NJ, or Titusville, NJ. This role may require up to 10% travel.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is : $79,000.00 - $127,650.00

Additional Description for Pay Transparency: Subject to the terms of their respective plans, employees are eligible to participate in the Company’s consolidated retirement plan (pension) and savings plan (401(k)). This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s long-term incentive program. Subject to the terms of their respective policies and date of hire, employees are eligible for the following time off benefits:

  • Vacation –120 hours per calendar year
  • Sick time - 40 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Colorado –48 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Washington –56 hours per calendar year
  • Holiday pay, including Floating Holidays –13 days per calendar year
  • Work, Personal and Family Time - up to 40 hours per calendar year
  • Parental Leave – 480 hours within one year of the birth/adoption/foster care of a child
  • Bereavement Leave – 240 hours for an immediate family member: 40 hours for an extended family member per calendar year
  • Caregiver Leave – 80 hours in a 52-week rolling period
  • 10 days Volunteer Leave – 32 hours per calendar year
  • Military Spouse Time-Off – 80 hours per calendar year
