Job summary

Google is seeking a Financial Analyst to drive financial planning and analysis for YouTube's Infrastructure teams. You will build business cases, model scenarios, and present to executives, enabling strategic decisions across products and platforms.

Role emphasizes collaboration with engineering, leadership communication, and ownership of budgeting cycles, including ROI assessments and cost optimization across infrastructure spend.

Qualifications

• 7 years of FP&A, consulting, or related function experience, or 5 years with an advanced degree.
• Experience in spend management and budget planning cycles.
• Ability to set objectives and drive results in ambiguity.
• Strong communication and people-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary finance contact for YouTube's Infrastructure teams and partner with leaders.
• Develop business cases and ROI analyses for resource requests during planning cycles.
• Lead Long-Range Plan and annual planning for TPUs, Standard Fleet, and Network.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and track KPIs for resource utilization and costs.
• Deliver monthly and quarterly financial reporting and provide actionable recommendations.

US: $141000 - $205000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary finance contact for YouTube's Infrastructure teams. Build strong relationships with technical leaders to understand their roadmaps, issues, and resource needs.
• Partner with engineering to develop business cases and ROI analysis for resource requests during infrastructure planning cycles. Identify and implement improvements to infrastructure-related financial processes, data pipelines, and reporting.
• Lead YouTube Long-Range Plan (LRP) and annual planning processes for TPUs, Standard Fleet, and Network, integrating GenAI narratives and sizing efficiency opportunities.
• Drive analysis to identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements within infrastructure spending. Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor resource utilization and cost trends.
• Deliver insightful monthly and quarterly financial reporting and variance analysis to business partners and Finance leadership. Clearly communicate complex financial information and provide actionable recommendations.
