The ideal candidate will bring expertise in GAAP, FASAB, and federal accounting practices, and will manage complex accounting processes while delivering high-quality customer support to internal stakeholders.

This full-time surge-support role includes responsibilities such as analyzing and reconciling General Ledger

Qualifications

• 8+ years of accounting experience in financial management.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, FASAB, and FASB.
• Experience with federal accounting and appropriation law.
• Proficiency with MS Office, especially Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills.
• Security clearance TS/SCI with Polygraph.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting activities, ensuring financial compliance and data integrity.
• Analyze and reconcile complex General Ledger accounts, resolving discrepancies and addressing issues with customers.
• Prepare and review financial statements, complex tax returns, and reconciliations.
• Analyze financial data from systems, create reports, and brief senior managers with recommendations.
• Participate in Working Capital Fund analysis and assist in developing financial forecasts.
• Provide strategic financial program guidelines and initiatives, ensuring effective customer support.
• Participate in resource working groups and advise on financial policies and procedures.
• Assist in developing accounting policies to improve efficiency and compliance.
• Ensure data integrity and work toward favorable audit opinions.
• Provide functional expertise for financial system development, including ad hoc reports and testing.
• Functions may be modified based on office requirements.
