Databricks is seeking a Sr. Field Technical Program Manager to lead Forward Deployed Engineering efforts for US Government engagements. You will guide technical teams, shape architecture decisions, and manage risks to ensure on‑time, high‑quality outcomes.

You will influence cross‑functional teams without hands‑on coding, align with government compliance, and drive customer satisfaction while navigating project trade‑offs.

Qualifications

• Strong non‑coding technical leadership and decision making.
• Experience managing large, complex engagements with scope, schedule and budget trade‑offs.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and cross‑functional leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Be responsible for the successful delivery of our most complex customer engagements by providing technical leadership and guidance to the implementation team.
• Guide technical teams through key architectural decisions, helping them navigate trade-offs between established and innovative approaches.
• Proactively identify and mitigate technical risks and dependencies that could impact timelines and goals.
• Individually deliver high‑quality deliverables, status reports, program plans, and customer responses with minimal rework.
• Manage all aspects of a program, including scope, schedule, budget, risk, and resources, focusing on technical complexity.
• Act as the primary escalation point for customers regarding delivery issues and coordinate rapid resolution with other teams.
• Build trust with technical teams and stakeholders by clearly articulating Databricks’ vision and solutions in meetings.
