Job summary

J&J Vision seeks an on-site Medical Device Field Service Technician to install, calibrate, service, and repair equipment at external facilities in support of the sales team.

You will execute installations, upgrades, preventative maintenance, and repairs to factory specifications, provide clear service reports, and maintain strong customer relationships while coordinating with colleagues and schedules.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of related experience.
• Associate degree or Technical Certification preferred (Electronics, Bio-Medical, Optical, Mechanical) or equivalent military experience.
• Computer skills with Microsoft Office, Tableau, and similar applications.
• Experience using standard electronic/laser tools and test equipment (DMM, oscilloscopes, power meters, sensors).
• Healthcare vendor credentialing as an employee for J&J Vision.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site technical product services including installations, upgrades, preventative maintenance, and repairs.
• Install, service, and repair medical device equipment in external facilities to support sales team and customers.
• Serve as a primary resource for stakeholders with frequent status updates and service reports.
• Complete on-site activities to factory specifications and document work; perform additional duties as assigned.
• Identify problems and recommend resolutions for malfunctioning equipment.
• Analyze service data to schedule proactive and reactive service and share knowledge with colleagues.
