Job summary

Ascendis Pharma is a dynamic biopharmaceutical company with a US footprint focused on endocrinology rare disease and oncology. The Field Reimbursement Manager educates providers on coverage, access, and reimbursement, while integrating ASCENDIS products into provider workflows.

The role partners with Market Access, Sales, and Patient Support to address access challenges, build local strategies, and develop territory business plans with strategic insights.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in allied health or equivalent work experience.
• 8+ years in pharma/biotech or related healthcare industry.
• Substantial reimbursement experience with prior authorizations and US payer landscape.
• 3-6 years supporting Specialty Pharmaceuticals/Biologics.
• Deep understanding of reimbursement, access, and specialty pharmacy operations.
• Experience guiding patients through insurance approval processes.
• Knowledge of HIPAA and laws governing patient confidentiality.
• Bilingual English/Spanish highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Act as SME in reimbursement, access, and specialty distribution for assigned geography.
• Educate HCP offices on coverage, prior authorizations, appeals, and funding options.
• Build relationships with HCPs, office staff, and health system stakeholders.
• Analyze regional payer coverage trends and reimbursement criteria.
• Provide guidance on specialty pharmacy services and distribution channels.
• Collaborate with Patient Support to ensure accurate benefit investigations.
• Develop territory-level business plans using customer insights.
• Participate in field-based problem-solving and case escalation.
• Identify process improvements to enhance patient access and provider satisfaction.
• Maintain compliance with legal, regulatory, and company policies.
