Corning Incorporated in Wilmington, NC seeks a Senior Mechanical Technician to provide hands-on mechanical support across the full lifecycle of manufacturing equipment on site at domestic and international sites.

You will direct contract trades, ensure safety and precision, and drive equipment readiness on active project teams. Strong mechanical expertise and travel willingness are essential.

Formación

• Hands-on experience with mechanical equipment, using standard tools.
• Ability to read drawings and schematics for troubleshooting.
• Understanding of flow, temperature, rate, pressure, and level.
• Safety‑first mindset in manufacturing/construction environments.

Responsabilidades

• Provide hands-on mechanical support across construction, installation, debug, and startup of equipment and systems.
• Assess condition of existing equipment; execute initial setup and debug to turnover.
• Direct outside contract trades during installation, conversion, demolition, testing, and debug phases.
• Perform hands-on troubleshooting; replace defective components and implement changes.
• Create, review, and update installation documentation, drawings, machine specs; coordinate with drafting services.
• Procure materials; develop and use project plans to meet goals safely.

Associate of Applied Science in Mechanical Engineering Technology
