Job summary

Groundwater & Environmental Services, Inc. (GES) is seeking a mid to senior level Environmental Remediation Technician to support fieldwork from Exton, PA.

The role covers remedial system operation, groundwater sampling, equipment maintenance, and client coordination on site safety and progress. Ideal candidates hold a high school diploma, 3–10+ years in environmental fieldwork, and OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER certification.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3–10+ years field experience in environmental consulting.
• Understanding of sampling SOPs, health & safety, decontamination, field notes, equipment calibration, and O&M.
• Outdoor work in all weather conditions.
• Strong work ethic with technical, mechanical and problem-solving skills.
• Team player with good organization and communication.
• Flexible schedule including occasional overnight, weekend work, and travel.
• HAZWOPER certification desirable; OSHA 40-hour preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operates remedial systems and conducts groundwater sampling as required by project SOPs.
• Maintains and tracks maintenance work orders and equipment/spares inventory.
• Manages labor and construction tasks per project needs.
• Identifies field-related issues and recommends corrections.
• Supervises contractors on subsurface excavations, tank removals, and piping installations.
• Interacts with clients to discuss site information and project progress.
• Performs soil and groundwater sampling in accordance with project requirements.
• Ensures installation and repair work adheres to OSHA and industry standards.
• Adheres to GES policies, health & safety standards.
