Qualifications
- 3+ years in deployment or integration of complex IP products and systems.
- Cloud certifications (AWS, Azure, etc.) and cloud troubleshooting experience.
- Experience with virtualization (KVM/ESXi/Hyper-V) and SQL Server.
- Knowledge of Windows Server, Linux, and enterprise networking (Cisco IOS).
- Telephony knowledge related to analog/PRI and Active Directory basics.
- Ability to travel up to 75% domestically and internationally; US citizenship.
Responsibilities
- Performs system configuration for ECH solutions including hybrid cloud and SaaS apps.
- Performs site verification testing prior to production cutovers.
- Configures connectivity between local infrastructure and cloud environments.
- Provides customer and partner support during deployment and post-cut.
- Documents changes, cloud tenant configs, and API integrations during deployment.
- Ensures installation issues are resolved timely and efficiently.
- Participates in MOP development for cloud migrations and upgrades.
- Participates in customer presentations and negotiations as needed.

The Software Enterprise Deployment and Integration team is the team that delivers solutions to the public safety sector. We are committed to providing technology and tools which will allow customers to focus on their mission, and enable them to respond faster with smarter and safer decisions. We deploy and support products such as Emergency Call Handling, 911 Equipment, Computer Aided Dispatch, Records Management Systems, Jail Management Systems and Mobile Data Computing, among other offerings.
The Emergency Call Handling (ECH) Field Engineer will report to the ECH Field Engineer Manager. The Field Engineer is ultimately accountable for the system being implemented based on the site design specifics, including the on-site configuration, testing, cut, and post-cut support for Motorola’s on-premise and cloud-hosted ECH solutions.
This is a Remote position and candidates can be located anywhere in the US. There will be in excess of 75% travel US and International.
- Performs system configuration for all supported and assigned ECH solutions, including hybrid cloud and SaaS-based applications.
- Performs site verification testing prior to cutting a site into a production environment.
- Configures and troubleshoots connectivity between local site infrastructure and cloud-hosted application environments.
- Provides support to Customer and Channel Partners while deploying the ECH solution into a production environment.
- Documents all changes to the solution, including cloud tenant configurations and API integrations, that may occur during the implementation phase of the project.
- Ensures that installation/quality issues are resolved in a timely and efficient manner.
- Participates in the development and approval of Methods of Procedure (MOP) for cloud migrations and system upgrades.
- Participates in pre-contract oral presentations and customer negotiations as required.
- Maintains subject matter expert skills in emerging cloud-native public safety technologies.
- 3+ years of experience in the deployment or Integration of complex IP products and systems.
- ~ Relevant Cloud Certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, Microsoft Certified: CompTIA Network+ AND Security+
- ~ Experience with Cloud-based application troubleshooting, including connectivity, latency analysis, and identity management (SSO/Active Directory).
- ~ Experience with installation, administration, and troubleshooting of: Server Virtualization, specifically with RedHat KVM, VMWare ESXi v.6+ and/or Microsoft Hyper-V 2012+.
- ~ Database Servers, specifically with Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2\2012\2016.
- ~ Server Operating Systems, specifically Windows Server 2008 R2 and 2012 R2.
- ~ Workstation Operating Systems, specifically Windows 10 & 11.
- ~ Linux.
- ~ Network Switches, preferably with Cisco IOS.
- ~ Basic knowledge of Firewalls and Routers, preferably with Fortinet FortiGate
- ~ Candidate must possess telephony knowledge related to analog lines and PRI up to and including troubleshooting and physical configuration/termination
- ~ Candidate must possess basic Active Directory knowledge pertaining to account segregation and role assignments
- ~ Candidate must be able to operate independently utilizing various guides and remote support options
- ~ Candidate must be able to self‑manage time based on objectives and goal requirements as part of the deployment team
- ~ Candidate ideally should be familiar with virtual machine deployments and hosted systems, ESXI/KVM RedHat Candidate ideally should be familiar with Cisco switch configurations
- ~ Candidate must possess or be eligible for a US passport for international travel up to 75%
- ~ Previous experience in Public Safety Applications deployment and integration, and/or operations and administration preferred.
- ~ Target Base Salary Range: $90.000 - $100,000 USD

- Must have 5+ years of experience working in an Engineering or Technical environment.
