Job summary

United Rentals is seeking a Field Diesel Mechanic - Customer Equipment Solutions to perform maintenance and repairs on customer-owned equipment with limited supervision. You will travel to customer sites, train junior technicians, and maintain accurate work documentation while delivering exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities include diagnosing complex systems, repairing diesel engines, and upselling equipment to customers.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Advanced mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of tools.
• Superior customer service, teamwork and verbal/written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance and repair of complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems on a variety of rental and customer equipment.
• Travel to customer job sites for repair/maintenance of customer owned equipment; maintain service vehicle in a clean, professional manner.
• Assist in the training of lower level technicians as needed.
• Maintain paperwork/electronic documentation of work performed (work orders) daily.
• Upsell and demonstrate a wide array of complex equipment for customers.
• Assist with pick-up and delivery of equipment & parts.
