Job summary

BioMarin Pharmaceutical Inc. is seeking a Senior Clinical Coordinator to educate patients, caregivers, and clinic staff about therapies and insurance access.

You will work with Sales, Market Access, Patient Services, Advocacy, and Marketing to streamline enrollment and ongoing support across regions. The role requires strong communication, presentation skills, and a willingness to travel up to 50% to patient homes, infusion sites, and meetings.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of pharmaceutical experience as a patient educator.
• Education as an allied health care professional preferably BSN or advanced practitioner.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Salesforce.com.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability and willingness to conduct field travel and travel to company meetings, patient homes, infusion sites and clinics.
• Requires travel, minimum of 50% travel.

Responsibilities

• Provides product education and logistical assistance to patients, caregivers, HCPs and site staff.
• Educates patients on steps to gain and maintain access to therapy.
• Coordinates with Sales, Market Access, Patient Services, Advocacy, and Marketing to improve patient access and support.
• Works with clinics and patients to ensure timely initiation of therapy and adherence activities.
• Secures HIPAA consent and educates on insurance coverage and prior authorization steps.
• Collaborates with FRMs, nursing teams, Safety and PV to resolve access challenges and report issues.
• Ensures alignment with policies and compliance across federal, state, and local requirements.
